This will finish up the top ten reasons to smile and #10 is smiling can lower your blood pressure. Tests have shown that that when you smile, there is a measurable reduction in blood pressure. Try it out with a monitor. Make sure you have rested for a few moments, then take a reading. Then rest again but smile the whole time and take the reading while still smiling. The stress reduction can play a role in reducing blood pressure. I will share an article in the next blog on a study to this effect.
